Tell me something good

Read this book: 'Lust' by Elfried Jelinek, who just won the Nobel prize for literature. And keep your pen out so you can underline juicy bits and the ones you don't quite understand.

I have to agree with the quote on the jacket from VLS: "The literary equivalent of Cindy Sherman's photographs of oozing, dislocated sex organs or a particularly corrosive lyric by PJ Harvey...as seamy and utterly honest as Martin Amis' Money."

(Which is the other author I am indulging in on my trip, because really, can you ever go wrong with Amis?)
