Bentley's, Marni, and the Queen's chocolates

From our hotel in Mayfair (across from the beautiful Green Park), we spent yesterday afternoon wandering around the neighborhood. (Remember to look left when crossing the street!)

We stumbled upon Sloane Street which I think must have the biggest per capita of luxury cars. I have seen more Bentleys, Roll Royces, and BMW's. The occasional Mini-Cooper or foreign car actually looked out of place.

Then it was to Harrods. Is there anything this incredible department stores does not have? Room after room of chocolates, designer clothes, housewares, perfume, and on and on and on. Luckily they provide you with a map when you enter.

Some fashion observations of the young, hip Britons:

they are more daring with their hair-dos--interesting cuts and lots of streaky color

chicks are wearing short, short skirts and colorful tights

very pointy, low heel boots and mules are on all the posh young birds

the same old Diesel jeans, big and slouchy sweaters, and Puma's as back in the states for the lads

and, of course, everyone smokes
