Barneys: on sale and for sale. (can't we pool together and buy the company?)

Next week the Barker Hangar at the Santa Monica Airport becomes one gigantic dressing room (with a bunch of really cool clothes marked down pretty cheap).

It is an odd sight to see women stripping down to their skivvies in the makeshift aisles to try on Vera Wang wedding dresses and Daryl K leather pants.

(always loved the "N" of BARNEYS and the "Y" of NEWYORK spelling "NY" vertically--it's like the arrow in the FedEx logo--once you see it you never don't)
