Smells like teen spirit

The application asked for my high school GPA and SAT/ACT scores. Sure.

I called admissions and said, uh, 'I'm re-entering as a junior after a 10 year hiatus. I have no idea what my high school scores were.'

They said 'That's cool. Your college GPA is very good and we will evaluate your application as a continuing student in good standing.'  Yes, that is cool. Or at least in ten days I will be notified by the school as to exactly how cool it is.

My mama read about my old college grades here and was stunned. She called and said, 'I had know idea that you did so well! I can't believe you weren't sending me your grades! Or at least bragging about it! I would have!'

(This is funny to me on many levels. Young Sacha was not sending Jana her grades or even talking about them. Or maybe she forgot. And I mean either one of us.
