Part deux
Saw two great and wickedly funny shorts: 'Motel' and 'Waiting for the Man'. Really there should be releases of shorts in theatres. And also saw a wonderful, quiet and lonely Japanese film 'Tony Takatini', based on the story by Murakami (whom I love--please, you must read 'After the Quake'). The score was gorgeous. Sakamoto may be my favorite modern composer.
Last night at the Chefdance (bad name) the waiter spilled duck confit and soup on me. Not so nice. In the restroom the hostess was talking on her cellphone about someone I know in L.A. Very weird to here gossip in a bathroom in Utah about someone you know in LaLa as told by a local with bad suburbia hair.
Paul Oakenfold d.j.'ed last night. D.j.-ed. How to spell that. I thought I wouldn't mention any names, but that one just came out. He was okay. I guess he has a place in Park City. I talked to him for a bit and he talked on his cellphone a lot.
More movies more parties more music today. Nice.
