As I said in yesterday's studio object post: gluing down is scary. And it's not just the commitment to placement that gets me stressed, it's how well the glue is going to adhere the pieces. Bubbling and rippling and warping can be a complete drag if that's not the effect you're going for. If that is the case, Neutral pH PVA is my favorite glue to use. It tends to lay paper very flat, is thin and light in texture, and dries clear—all things I like when creating a paper based collage. It also is archival and won't yellow over time, important for artwork.
