Favorites week ending 04.16.17
This week's favorite images start with my commute to work. If the 60 bus comes first, I hop on it and get off at Figueroa and 4th. From there I walk up an overpass that connects to Hope Street. The small stretch is a narrow sidewalk, metered parking, and a one way street used by those who know a sly shortcut to the freeway. The meters are always taken, usually with fancy cars, presumably visiting the nearby financial institutions or big name law firms. I was delighted on a Tuesday morning to spy a bottle of Dom Perignon on the sidewalk right next to a parked Range Rover. But disappointed it was empty. Too late to the party.
I'm in love with this mysterious sign I see nearly daily on my morning walk with the pup in a parking lot (which I know seems like a strange walking spot, but it's really great—to me).
My co-workers in a pre-shift lounge.
Tree stumps and graffiti: pretty much sums up my neighborhood. Xoxoxo.
Saw some great art this week and was especially taken by the paintings at Wilding Cran by Graeme Mitchell.
Love my neighborhood wine shop Wine Stop, owned by the super friendly and knowledgeable Alvaro. Cheers!
