I went to an opening at Produce Haus, which is just a few blocks from where I live, located on the second floor of a giant building that is a wholesale produce market and distribution center. The views were fantastic of downtown. This picture reminded me of Gregory Crewdson or Joel Sternfeld. The thumbnail is the view on the opposite side of the space. Just gorgeous. I enjoyed the show and hospitality of the opening. Looking forward to future happenings here.
Caught the last looks at Non-Fiction, the fantastic exhibition at The Underground Museum, with my museum co-worker Jeanelle (pictured here with Henry Taylor's epic painting).
I saw some great artwork in Culver City, including pictured above: Elizabeth Neel, Julie Henson, Rosson Crow, and York Chang / Justin Cole. Also had a funny conversation with those two dudes on the left (Paul Schimmel and Timothy Blum) about Carrol Dunham's work at Blum + Poe.
Last stop on a busy day/night was at Dalton Warehouse. Loved these works on cardboard by Nicolas Shake.
Maybe I did it again, with a crew sign.
It took a lot of will power to not take this piece of paper on the sidewalk. I love discarded hand written notes.
