Mmmmmmeat

Autumn has finally arrived and with it cooler weather and a change in the menu and venue for Thursday nights out. This Thursday was dedicated to cured meats and zesty wine at Mozza. It had been a while since I'd been to the corner of Highland and Melrose; Nancy did a double take and then quickly got me a glass of Prosecco, which is to say, I immediately felt at home at the Scoula /Mozza2Go. This part of the growing empire is a sometimes school, sometimes private party spot, sometimes restaurant that is currently concentrating on Thursday night meat feasts: The Salumi Bar. Everything is done with precision, but it isn't cold--it's precision with passion and gusto. Flavors are bold and mouthwatering. There were lots of familiar faces and friendly new ones on staff. People are nice here. I didn't realize how much I missed Mozza. As I said to GM David Rosoff, "It's been a while since I've been on campus. But I'm really happy to be back." And I will be, next Thursday.
