It's done! for Day 23 #100DaysStudioObj
I've cleared a special spot on my studio wall for this new work which I finished a couple of days ago. I didn't take this picture in my studio, which is dark and small (and awesome). My Mama has already claimed it, but I'll enjoy it for a couple of months.
When I was first making the piece I thought of it as a rough draft or kind of sketch of an idea in my head that had been developing, but this shifted as the piece began to come together. Time and effort equals a "real" work? That's not exactly what I mean, I'm stumbling on how to articulate what I mean. But something about the scope of the project, as it grew, changed my judgment as to the work as a whole. Process. And it was a quite an intensive one.
I greatly enjoyed making the piece, I like the outcome, and even better—it has got me inspired and already planning out the next big work. I'm starting it today!
