Bombshell for Day 25 #100DaysStudioObj
I did a high resolution scan of a page from a beloved issue of Frolic and sent it off to the printers, who did not disappoint with this fantastic print. I'll be using her in the next 2' x 4' collage piece.
Looking at the large collage I finished last week I realized for the next one I wanted a bit more contrast between the main image and the small strips cut from ARTFORUM, so for this print I added a warm glow and splurged on a color press print instead of just a cheapy black and white photocopy from the plotter at Kinkos.
Initially I thought I would use my studio printer, by tiling the image to fit several pieces of 13"x19" paper, but my printer is just wasn't giving me the warmth and richness I was looking for.
I haven't quite decided on the overall scope of the piece (red polka dots keeping coming to mind!), but I did at least cut the lovely lady out. Excited to jump in this week.
